Am in the middle of a giant Battlestar Galactica marathon. I've spent the last few days racing through the first two season and now I'm in the middle of the first episode of the third and I just can't get into it. I'm sure I only need some time, that in a few episodes I'll be just as absorbed as I was during the last two season, but so much changed at the end of the second season that I'm having trouble reconciling everything now with what I know from before. If that makes any sense.

Plus, I'm a total Apollo/Starbuck shipper and them being on the outs is unpleasant. Add to that the fact that we haven't had much Roslin/Adama interaction and I'm doubly depressed.

Sigh. And this week's slew of TV shows weren't much better. Ok, House was awesome (except for Cameron's hair; that was just baaaaaad), but Bones was disappointing, again. Gossip Girl was better than last week's, but still not as good as I want it to be; hopefully it's beginning to hit its stride and will only improve. Private Practice and Dirty Sexy money were both enjoyable while Grey's was fine but not great. The only really great episode this week was The Office's which, with the return of Ryan, was brilliant. Oh, Office, I'm so glad to love you.

Because, wow. It's brilliant and beautiful and Scully and Cuddy do just seem to fit together and [livejournal.com profile] leiascully manages to do that without ignoring Mulder and House and the complicated relationships the two woman have with them.

Always Get What you Want by [livejournal.com profile] leiascully

There weren't enough women in the profession to begin with, and fewer still that Cuddy could actually talk to, but something in the way this woman held her shoulders made Cuddy feel that Scully knew about loneliness and the value of conversation. It had been long enough that Cuddy wasn't even aching for sex, just words and the way mouths shaped them and the flutter of gesturing hands in low light.
